Martin Hagger was awarded the Paper of the Year Award in the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine and Science in Sports (Impact Factor = 4.221) for an article testing his trans-contextual model in the context of sport injury. The award-winning article was co-authored with his former doctoral advisee, Dr. Derwin Chan (Education University of Hong Kong), colleague Martyn Standage (University of Bath, UK), and first authored by Dr. Chan's PhD student, Alfred Lee (Education University of Hong Kong).
