ABOUT THE WORKSHOP SERIES: Join us for a series of online short courses on a variety of statistical and research topics. All courses are open to UC Merced students, faculty, and researchers. The current cost is free, so sign up soon!

TIMING: Courses will be held via zoom from 9:00-4:00pm on select days. The instructor will schedule morning, lunch, and afternoon breaks according to the course schedule.

LOCATION: A zoom link will be provided.

Bayesian Bootcamp (April 30, 2021)

Course Description: Learn the basics of Bayesian statistics. Estimation, prior distributions, and implementation will be covered in detail. Techniques for best practices will be provided, as well as software examples.

Structural Equation Modeling (July 29-30, 2021)

Course Description: Foundations and basics of SEM will be discussed. We will also cover extensions such as mixture and multilevel latent variable modeling. Software examples provided.

Rating Scale Design and Analysis (October 22, 2021)

Course Description: Learn the entire process of designing and analyzing a rating scale through applications of measurement design, psychometric models, factor analysis, and scale evaluation. Datasets and R code will be provided.

Missing Data Analysis (January 14, 2022)

Course Description: Various methods will be discussed for handling missing data in applied research. Learn about best practices and proper implementation of the techniques.
