Graduate student Bianca Hinojosa received the Fred and Mitzie Ruiz Fellowship from the graduate school. This prestigious award is intended for students who bring to their academic reseearch careers the perspectives that comes from their non-traditional education background or understanding of the experiences of groups historically underrrepresented in higher education.
