Geraldy Martin-Gutierrez, a graduate student in Health Psychology, recently had her first journal article accepted for publication in the Journal of Adolescent Health. The paper, which was based on Geraldy's pre-candidacy project, examines a broad range of health outcomes in Latina youth. Their results showed that overall Latina youth do not display greater vulnerability to health issues than white females, and that any increased vulnerability appears to relate to their socioeconomic status.
