Assistant Professor of Quantitative Methods, Measurement, and Statistics
Dr. Haiyan Liu is an Assistant Professor of Quantitative Methods, Measurement, and Statistics at the University of California, Merced. She earned her Ph.D.in Quantitative Psychology at the University of Notre Dame in 2018. Dr. Liu’s research centers broadly on statistical modeling of psychological and educational data such as high-dimensional data, longitudinal/time-series data, and social network data. The core of her research is to develop advanced models and estimation methods to achieve a more proper understanding of human behaviors. Her recent research includes Bayesian structural equation modeling, social network modeling, and non-parametric growth curves modeling. Dr. Liu is also interested in adopting machine learning techniques to behavioral data and developing solutions to the issues involved in the survey study.
