Bio:
Charlie is a doctoral student with a specialization in Health Psychology at the University of California, Merced. He is co-advised by Drs. Jennifer Howell and Deborah Wiebe. In 2023, he received his B.S. in Psychology from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Charlie's primary research focus is understanding situations in which patients feel they need to educate their providers about their health condition(s). In addition to this, he is interested in understanding the experience of LGBTQ+ people when seeking health-care, including how gender-affirming care may impact quality of care and chronic disease management.
