Professor Heather Bortfeld recently attended MexNIRS, the first neuroimaging conference on near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) in Mexico. The focus of the conference was "Global NIRS", the potential for NIRS to address issues in underserved and hard to reach places due to its portability. The meeting was highly successful, with an internationally renowned slate of speakers presenting an array of high quality talks and data.
