Tenie Khachikian

Research Interests: 

Tenie Khachikian is a Ph.D student in Psychological Sciences at the University of California, Merced working with Dr. Linda Cameron.  She received her B.A. in Sociology  from the University of California, Los Angeles and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Her diverse background in the social sciences helps bring a unique perspective to her research. Tenie is interested in studying health risk behaviors, particularly substance use, in adolescents.  She hopes to further investigate how parents, communities, and social media, can help implement preventive measures that can lessen such behaviors.
