Patricia Cabral

Title:
Health Psychology
Research Interests:

Patricia received her undergraduate and General Experimental Master's degree from CSU Northridge and is a current doctoral student in the Health Psychology program working with Dr. Jan Wallander. Her current research interests are centered on health-risk behaviors among adolescents and young adults, and how they contribute to differences in health outcomes across racial/ethnic groups. In particular she is interested in examining sexual risk and self harmful behaviors most prevalent among the Latino community. More recently, Patricia has begun to investigate the influence that social processes have on the decision-making and outcomes of such health risk behaviors across development, particularly when examined within the framework of the Epidemiological Paradox.
